Yom Hazikaron

The siren just went.

The whole nation (with a few exceptions), came to a halt and thought of those who gave their lives so that we can live, securely in our State.

"You really know you're Israeli when you know a soldier who died personally" was my wife's take on it. If that is the case, there are far too many of us who right now, really know that we're Israeli.

They Shall not grow Old
As we who are left grow old
Age Shall not weary Them
Nor the years condemm
At the Going Down of the Sun
And in the Morning
We Shall Remember Them!
